Entry # 2 Why I want to join Phoenix PD
Ever since I was young I always wanted to serve whether that be in the military or as a police officer. I originally joined the military and while it was an honor to serve I didn't do anything that made me feel like I made any significant contributions because combat deployments are at an all time low right now. When I got out of the military I decided to give the police force a go because I would be able to serve my community. I eventually want to work my way up to be a homicide detective. Many people have told me not to do it because of the danger but i feel like the best way to protect and serve is to take murderers of the street and put them behind bars. Many think I am crazy for wanting to join the police department especially in today's world but I always say how is it crazy to want to protect my community.
Shawn--Your blog is looking pretty good. You present some interesting points and ideas. You do have room to develop those points and ideas further to create greater significance.
